Carey and Andre, Phinda Private Game Reserve
Andre and I had a wonderful time on the Phinda Walking Safari and a beautiful wedding day. We were upgraded to Vlei Lodge, which was magnificent. Morag did a fabulous job taking care of us and getting all of the wedding preparations done. She really was wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty, adding little touches here and there that absolutely made everything perfect! Reverend Naidoo was very nice and handled the ceremony beautifully, simple and sweet, yet meaningful. The wedding was romantic, beautiful and absolutely dreamy - exceeding our wildest expectations. Thanks to everyone for an incredibly special and memorable day.

We had the best 2 weeks of travel. The first game drive on our trip, the morning of our wedding day, we got to see cheetahs very close, and we also got to see the leopard making a kill, exciting! At Klein’s camp we saw a lot of lions, but we never got to see a big male lion (a good reason for a future safari), and it was very interesting to visit the Maasai village. (I got the Maasai necklace at Ngorongoro. I didn’t wear it at the ceremony, but we had some pictures taken with it). We had the most perfect ending of our honeymoon at Mnemba. We scuba dived, and saw a lot of turtles and we swam with dolphins. Everything was so much better than we expected and could imagine from the pictures we saw on the CC Africa website.

We just wanted to write and tell you what a fantastic and memorable experience our wedding at Kwandwe was, and to thank you for all your help arranging it. The staff at Kwandwe was more helpful and thoughtful than we could have imagined, every little detail was thought of and taken care of.
Marc and Ilza helped make our day as special as it could be; the venue was stunning, the canapés tasty, the bubbly chilled, and all the staff and rangers so kind and helpful. The Reverend Glen Craig gave a lovely ceremony that was delivered as if he had known us for far longer than the 2 hours he had. He also tailored it to the setting in the bush which made it feel extra special.
We opted for the bush venue which was set up with a table decorated with candles and flowers, blankets for Mel to stand on, and Ilza had even cleared a bit of an “aisle” for Mel to walk down. The scenery was amazing, bush as far as the eye could see and no signs of civilization, apart from the barbequing prawns and chilled bubbly of course. James Greaves, the photographer, was exceptionally professional and very calming for Mel pre ceremony. He produced beautiful photographs and we even had them delivered the very next afternoon. The flowers were just what Mel wanted as well. The dinner set up in the library was just right for the 7 of us and very cosy with the fire. A mention needs to go to our butler, Cynthia, and the security guard who decorated our room with flower petals and candles on our wedding night. Lastly a special mention needs to go to Owen, our ranger, and Norman, our tracker. They made not just the wedding but our whole experience at Kwandwe one to remember for the rest of our lives.
Thank you again, if it was not for your help and advice early on in the process we might not have made the decision to get married at Kwandwe and we would have maybe not had as special a day. Our experience of S Africa was one of friendly people and great scenery with excellent accommodation, food, and wine on the most part. We will be back, maybe not to do the Garden Route again, but definitely on safari. The safari will of course be at a CC Africa property! Once again, many, many thanks.

We have been thinking of how to word this email and found it difficult to do so because there is nothing that describes the thanks we want to say for what CC Africa helped create. We tried not to have expectations so as not to be disappointed but no matter how high our expectations were what you shared with us at Phinda surpassed anything we might have dreamed. Congratulations for a job most superbly done.
The setting was amazing, the choir were exquisite and the dancers outstanding; the boma was enchanting and the food heavenly. Every member at Phinda Forest Lodge is delightful and are a part of that very special something we have brought home with us. If only I could pack everyone and everything into my suitcase to bring home with me forever.
A unique wedding ceremony in that it was more than a ceremony, it was a 3 day experience with some very special people; family, friends and new acquaintances who are and who have become very dear to us. A wedding day is meant to be a most memorable event and we can say with assurance that ours truly is something that will be of great significance in our memory. It goes without saying that it will be the same for all our guests.
We have already decided to revisit Phinda Forest Lodge for our 1st anniversary and we will visit all the other CC Africa lodges throughout Africa for every anniversary thereafter. On behalf of everyone from our wedding party "CC AFRICA YOU HAVE REAWAKENED MY SOUL!" Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Corné, Mnemba Island Lodge
We are back home and still so thrilled about our wonderful wedding at Mnemba. How on earth can we thank you for what you have done to make our wedding day so much more memorable than what we ever thought it would be...I actually don't know where to start. From that first warm smile that we had from the driver at Zanzibar airport, the friendliness of ALL the staff, the wonderful food that we had, the flexibility to eat whatever you feel like, whenever you feel like it and where ever you want to, Kundi's famous words "no problem", the beautiful white beaches and luxurious accommodation. Everything was just so perfect, or should I say, done in the exact same way we like it. Our room filled with rose petals and candles, a printed picture of our wedding, the beautiful wedding cake and not to forget about the red roses, as well as a CD with our pictures............... to Mnemba we are definitely going back! I still get goose pimples if I think about our wedding day. IT WAS ABSOLUTE FANTASTIC, WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MUCH WE HAVE ENJOYED OUR WEDDING DAY, IT WAS SOOOOOOO SPECIAL, SOOOOOO ROMANTIC!!!!!!

Rob and I were the couple selected to be on Travel Channel's - Trip of a Lifetime show last year in August. I just wanted to write to you about the wedding we were surprised with at Phinda.
Being surprised with a wedding was an amazing experience. The staff at Phinda actually gave Rob and I the wedding we had never dared to dream about. This was truly our dream wedding. Many years ago, I had mentioned to my folks that I would love to get married on a Game Reserve, but never thought in a million years that this dream would come to fruition!
Because the wedding was a surprise, we had no idea as to what to expect - honestly I don't know that I would have been able to put together such an incredible event. I am really glad that the staff at Phinda took care of everything for us. I feel 100% certain in saying that anyone planning a wedding will have complete confidence when choosing Phinda as a place to get married!
The location - walking between the Zulu choir and heading for the top of Zuka rock was incredible - seeing my future husband, both our families and the minister, brought tears to my eyes. Rob and I felt like we got married on top of the world - the view was absolutely stunning! I am aware that this is a very difficult location to orchestrate a wedding at - it was truly the best place in the world for us to exchange our vows.
The reception -The food was delicious , the decorations absolutely beautiful, and the Zulu dancers - WOW! Rob and I really felt welcome. I would have to say that the staff at Phinda surpassed any expectations I could have had about our wedding, especially since I was not a part of the planning process!
About the rest of our stay - from the time we arrived to the time we left, we felt very special. We feel very privileged to have been given the opportunity to spend time at Phinda. What an amazing place! Rob and I are definitely planning a return visit as soon as we are able.
