Londolozi was established as a family bush camp in 1926 by the Varty and Taylor families whose friendship and collaboration continues today. Londolozi has earned an international reputation for its unmatched African wildlife experience, personalised service, superb safari accommodation and excellent relationships with its neighbouring communities - commended as such by Nelson Mandela, who visited the Reserve shortly after his release from prison.

THE GRANITE ROCKS ON THE RIVERBANK
At the most beautiful time of day - just prior to sunset - guests gather on the banks of the Sand River to witness an extraordinary outdoor marriage ceremony. Once the sun has set, guests will be transferred to the wedding reception.
CHIPALAPALA KOPPIES
This isolated rocky outcrop, called Chipalapala Koppies (Meaning 'Sable Hill' in Shangaan), is perfect for an intimate wedding of only 8 Guests. This natural setting is in the heart of this historic Reserve's bushveld. The venue affords 360 degree vistas of the magnificent wilderness Londolozi is so famous for. This is an ideal location to host celebratory drinks after the ceremony.
BUSH SETTING
This venue is ideal for small or larger weddings. An African Choir in traditional dress is available to delight guests with their harmonious voices and songs of Africa. After the ceremony, guests enjoy celebratory sundowners before being transported to the wedding banquet.
THE VIEWING DECK
All camps at Londolozi have magnificent open-air viewing decks to host a dream wedding. The wedding ceremony is held on the spacious viewing deck overlooking the beautiful reserve. Guests can be entertained by the fabulous Londolozi Choir while they await the arrival of the Bride. After the late afternoon ceremony, wedding guests toast the newlyweds with sundowners.

BOMA IN CAMP
A Boma is an old African tradition. Tribesmen and local village people would gather at this outdoor circular meeting place situated in the centre of their village, and around a fire they would host important events, discussions and eat together. We can strongly recommend Londolozi's Boma, being spacious yet cosy, with an unforgettable atmosphere at night created by dozens of lanterns and huge fires. Delicious cuisine is served at the fireside, under African skies. The Boma can comfortably seat 60 Guests and there is a bar and space for dancing, should you wish to make use of a DJ. This option is only available for dinners, and for wedding parties taking exclusive-use of Bateleur Camp.
MAIN DECK IN CAMP
The open Decks at Londolozi Bateleur, Tree, Founders or Pioneer Camp are all equally magnificent venues to host a wedding banquet. Each affording spectacular views of the riverine habitat below, and thatch-roof coverings, the outdoor Deck at each of these camps provide a unique indoor-outdoor wedding dining experience.
BATELEUR CAMP DECK
This spacious viewing deck that offers breathtaking views can comfortably accommodate a banquet of up to 60, for exclusive-use Guests of Bateleur Camp.
TREE CAMP DECK
Spacious living areas are furnished in classic African safari style, and lead out to a generous wooden deck shaded by an ancient ebony tree. Elegant candlelit wedding dinners are served here for guests with exclusive-use of Tree Camp.
FOUNDERS CAMP DECK
This charming safari camp, situated in a dense riverine forest overlooking the Sand River, offers breathtaking views of the bushveld and African wildlife. Founders Camp comprises comfortable sitting areas which lead to an elevated wooden dining deck overlooking the river - perfect for hosting an intimate wedding banquet.
PIONEER CAMP DECK
Scrumptious cuisine can be served to seated guests on Pioneer Camp's open Deck. Back-dropped by wildly romantic African wilderness affording an indoor-outdoor dining experience that is unique.
WEDDING BUSH BANQUET
A wedding celebration for guests in the middle of the African Bush, CC Africa's Bush Dinners are in a class of their own. Dining tables are adorned with tablecloths, lanterns, candles and attended to with first class service. This is a dramatic and elegant manner in which to entertain a wedding party or a quiet romantic table for two.

WEDDING ARRANGEMENTS AND FACILITIES AT LONDOLOZI PRIVATE GAME RESERVE
AN INTIMATE WEDDING An intimate wedding consisting of 2 to 6 Guests would be comfortably accommodated in 1 to 3 Suites/Chalets at Londolozi Pioneer, Founders, Tree or Bateleur Camp.
A CLASSIC WEDDING A classic wedding party consisting of 12 Guests can be accommodated in 6 Suites/Chalets at Londolozi Founders, Pioneer or Tree Camp. This option affords the wedding party sole-use of the entire camp and the luxury of the personal attention of its staff.
A wedding party of between 12 to 24 Guests can select accommodation from a variety of options: The party can select the sole-use of Londolozi Founders, Pioneer Camp or Tree Camp, with additional Suites/Chalets from another camp. 24 to 60 Guests can enjoy exclusive-use of Bateleur Camp and additional rooms from any of the other Camps. A larger wedding party of 60 Guests will enjoy the sole attention of the staff and use of Londolozi Private Game Reserve 's four camps and their 30 suites. This option will provide an extremely private and personal wedding affair. The Deck and Boma at Bateleur Camp can host 60 Guests.
Chalets/Suites: This classic colonial-style safari camp is set in a secluded bush location, each suite has a stylish bedroom/living room with fireplace and personal bar, romantic bath set into the curved bay windows, and a private veranda and sala (outdoor covered deck). The thatched chalets boast beautiful riverside views from spacious bedrooms and private verandas. This Camp offers 3 Suites and 3 Chalets.
Guest Areas: Comfortable living areas feature antiques and welcoming sofas and armchairs. An interactive kitchen is open to the indoor and deck dining areas, and delicious Pan-African cuisine is prepared before your eyes. Elaborate lamp- and fire-lit dinners are enjoyed in the intimate boma, or in the African wilderness.
Chalets/Suites: Intimate safari camp - each chalet and suite features a beautiful glass-walled bathroom with enticing wilderness views. A sparkling swimming pool is contoured to complement the curves of the Sand River. This Camp offers 1 Suite and 5 Chalets.
Guest Areas: Situated in a dense riverine forest overlooking the Sand River, this charming safari camp offers breathtaking views of the bushveld and African wildlife. Founders Camp comprises comfortable sitting areas which lead to an elevated wooden walkway ending in a relaxing game viewing deck - perfect for the exchange of wedding vows.
Chalets/Suites: One of Africa's best-loved lodges, this elegant safari camp reflects Londolozi's rich history, ensuring a unique and interpretive safari experience. Eight chalets and four suites all feature private plunge pools and decks with expansive river views. Londolozi's rich history is preserved and recorded in the original camp built in 1926.
Guest Areas: Bateleur Camp's impressive guest areas all afford remarkable views of the Sand River, and offer comfort whilst showcasing Londolozi's remarkable history with photographs from its early days as a rustic bush camp. The main deck is the perfect setting for breakfasts and lunches, and dinners of Pan-African cuisine are enjoyed in the boma illuminated by dozens of lanterns.
Suites: This romantic safari camp is surrounded by huge shady trees. Tree Camp's 6 exclusive suites feature luxurious bathrooms with large baths set in a stone base, pebble-inlaid floors and standing candelabras. Each suite has its own private oasis - a plunge pool and sala (outdoor covered deck) overlooking the lush banks of the Sand River.
Guest Areas: Spacious living areas are furnished in classic African safari style, and lead out to a generous wooden deck shaded by an ancient ebony tree. Elegant candlelit dinners of Pan-African cuisine are served in the boma (outdoor dining area), or enjoyed in a spectacular bush setting.
CC Africa will do everything possible to accommodate specific room requests for the bridal couple, however ample notice will need to be given to do so - at least 3 months. Understandably, any unforeseen events - such as storm damage or similar - might prevent the Lodge from following through with such requests.
